PUC Approves License for Atmos Energy Marketing to Provide Natural Gas to Customers

HARRISBURG—The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today approved Atmos Energy Marketing LLC as a natural gas supplier for industrial and governmental consumers in the service territory of Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania within the Commonwealth. 

The Commission voted 5-0 to approve the license for the company to begin providing natural gas supply service in Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania's territory, which serves more than 410,000 customers in 27 counties.

Pennsylvania natural gas consumers have the right to choose who their natural gas supplier from those who are licensed to do so within their service territory.

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission ensures safe, reliable and reasonably priced electric, natural gas, water, telephone and transportation service for Pennsylvania consumers, by regulating public utilities and by serving as stewards of competition.
