PUC Approves License for Premier Power Solutions to Provide Electric Service to Customers

HARRISBURG—The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today approved Premier Power Solutions LLC as an Electric Generation Supplier in the service territories of Duquesne Light Co. and Pennsylvania Power Co.
The Commission voted 5-0 to approve the license for the company to begin providing electric supply service in those service territories to commercial, governmental and industrial consumers. Pennsylvania electric consumers have the right to choose their electric supplier from those who are licensed to do so within their service territory.
The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission ensures safe, reliable and reasonably priced electric, natural gas, water, telephone and transportation service for Pennsylvania consumers, by regulating public utilities and by serving as stewards of competition.
