The briefing will take place at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, in Hearing Room 1 of the Commonwealth Keystone Building.  PUC Commissioner Kim Pizzingrilli will make opening remarks regarding the importance of utility reliability.

Topics that will be covered during the meeting will include: forecasted load and capacity; generation and transmission for summer 2009; environmental considerations; plant additions and retirements; Marcellus Shale drilling’s potential impact on electric utility service; and the perspectives of electric distribution companies.
