PUC Fines Philadelphia County Transportation Service for Violations

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today fined Gival Cab Co. $2150 for violations of the Public Utility Code and Commission regulations.
The Commission voted 4-0 to fine the company for violations for failure to maintain logs for at least two years as a result of an insurance lapse investigation.
Gival Cab Co. provides passenger services between points in Philadelphia County.
The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission balances the needs of consumers and utilities to ensure safe and reliable utility service at reasonable rates; protect the public interest; educate consumers to make independent and informed utility choices; further economic development; and foster new technologies and competitive markets in an environmentally sound manner.
