PUC Approves Rate Increase for Franklin County Water Co.

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today voted to approve a rate increase requested by Kensington Water Co.

The Commission voted 5-0 to approve the company’s increase in annual rates of $11,303 (75 percent). Under the new rates, the bill for an average residential customer using 15,000 gallons per quarter would increase from $66 to $116.

Kensington Water Company furnishes metered and unmetered water service to approximately 60 residential customers in Franklin County.
