PUC Fines Lehigh County Taxi Service $2,200 for Violations

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today fined Premium Taxi LLC $2,200 for violations of the Public Utility Code and Commission regulations.
The Commission voted 5-0 to fine the company. On Oct. 20, 2010, the Commission’s Bureau of Transportation and Safety (BTS) instituted a complaint against the company alleging that several of the company’s vehicles had inoperable dome lights and safety belts, among other violations.
Premium Taxi provides service in Lehigh County.
