PUC Approves Lower Rate Increase than Requested for Water Co. in Clarion County

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today voted to approve a rate increase request by Corner Water Supply and Service Corporation, Clarion County.

The Commission voted 5-0 to approve the joint settlement allowing an annual increase of revenues of $34,900 (10.64 percent).  The settlement was reached among the company and the Commission.  The company had originally requested an annual increase of revenues of $38,719 (11.8 percent).  As part of the company’s increase, the annual bill for an average residential customer using 48,000 gallons per year will increase $50.84 from $477.84 to $528.68 (10.64 percent).

Corner Water Supply and Service Corporation furnishes water service to approximately 415 customers in portions of Paint and Elk Townships, Clarion County.
