HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today announced that it will be streaming video of its regularly scheduled public meetings live on its website beginning 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013.

The Commission is targeting an audience of media, industry representatives, government officials, financial analysts and stakeholders who closely follow Commission decisions.  With this new technology, the Commission continues to carry out its commitment to transparency, and also has the capability to stream video of other meetings such as en banc hearings and other special meetings.

The live streaming video page is accessible through the PUC’s website.

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission balances the needs of consumers and utilities; ensures safe and reliable utility service at reasonable rates; protects the public interest; educates consumers to make independent and informed utility choices; furthers economic development; and fosters new technologies and competitive markets in an environmentally sound manner.
