PUC Approves Lower Rate Increase than Requested by Corner Water Supply and Service Corporation

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today voted to approve a lower revenue increase than what was originally requested by Corner Water Supply and Service Corporation (Clarion County).

The Commission approved an increase in annual rates of $52,000 (15.89 percent).  The company had originally requested an increase in annual rates of $89,155 (27.3 percent).  According to the approved settlement, the total bill for an average residential water customer using approximately 2,990 gallons of water per month will increase from $34.05 to $39.58 (16.3 percent).

The company provides water service to 495 customers in portions of Elk and Paint townships, Clarion County.
