PUC Fines DeBolt Unlimited Travel Services for Violations

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today fined DeBolt Unlimited Travel Services Inc. of Homestead, Allegheny County, $2,050 for various violations against PUC regulations. 

The PUC instituted a complaint against DeBolt Unlimited Travel Services for six violations found during an inspection, including:

  • Operating as a broker on four separate occasions without holding a brokerage license issued by the PUC, resulting in a $250 fine for each violation for a total of $1,000;
  • Failure to have the proper registered name and PUC number displayed on the vehicle, resulting in a $50 penalty; and
  • Failing to cooperate with the Commission by not furnishing documents that a PUC’s enforcement officer requested to aid in an investigation, resulting in a penalty of $1,000.

The PUC’s Bureau of Transportation and Safety filed a complaint against DeBolt Unlimited Travel Services on Aug. 12, 2005. The company was given 30 days to respond to the complaint or the fine of $2,050 would be imposed. DeBolt Unlimited failed to answer the complaint.
