PUC Fines Gensimore Trucking Company Inc.

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today fined Gensimore Trucking Inc., of Pleasant Gap, $3,000 for operating its vehicles during a three day period without having evidence of insurance on file with the Commission.

The PUC’s Bureau of Transportation and Safety filed the complaint against the company on Oct. 6, 2004. On March 3, 2005, a Joint Petition for Settlement was filed by the parties.

For Gensimore Trucking Company Inc. to resume operations, they must file proof of appropriate insurance coverage, which the PUC will review.

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission ensures safe, reliable and reasonably priced electric, natural gas, water, telephone and transportation service for Pennsylvania consumers, by regulating public utilities and by serving as stewards of competition.
