HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today fined Dominion Peoples $7,750 for failing to submit monthly bills to a customer for over two years and $6,900 for its failure to provide adequate and reasonable service.

A consumer filed a complaint against Dominion Peoples disputing the amount of his bill for a previously unbilled service and requested a lower monthly payment. After a hearing with an administrative law judge (ALJ), the ALJ directed Dominion Peoples to pay a civil penalty of $7,750.

Another customer filed a complaint against Dominion Peoples alleging inadequate and unreasonable service and requesting that his back charges be waived. An evidentiary hearing was held before an ALJ, and it was ruled that Dominion Peoples be fined $6,900 for its failure to provide adequate and reasonable service.

The company has 20 days after notice of the final Commission order to pay the fines.
