PUC Fines Southeastern PA Limousine Service $1,300 for Violations

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today fined Rosemont Taxi Cab Co. $1,300 for violations of the Public Utility Code and Commission regulations.  

The Commission voted 5-0 to fine the company.  On June 8, 2011, the Commission’s Bureau of Transportation and Safety (BTS) instituted a complaint against the company alleging that the company permitted its driver to operate its vehicle while he did not possess a valid driver’s license; failed to maintain safe, adequate, efficient, and reasonable service and facilities for the proper safety of its patrons and public; and that the company failed to maintain logs for at least two years. 

Rosemont Taxicab Co. Inc. has a certificate of public convenience for call or demand authority in Philadelphia, Delaware and Montgomery counties.
