PUC to Highlight Consumer Information at June 11 Pittsburgh South Side Community Education Program

HARRISBURG – Outreach Specialists from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) will highlight consumer information during an upcoming community education program in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood.

The event – scheduled for Monday, June 11, 2018 – is intended for seniors, homeowners and other concerned consumers throughout Pittsburgh neighborhoods.

PUC Information Specialist Juanita D. Gale will provide information about consumer rights and responsibilities related to PUC-regulated utilities, along with details about the Commission’s process for addressing complaints about utilities. The session will also address consumer questions about the PUC process for handling informal and formal complaints from customers of the Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority (PWSA).

The PUC consumer education event is being held in conjunction with Pittsburgh Community Services Inc. (PCSI):

In addition to information about PUC consumer protection initiatives, staff from PCSI will be available during the program to assist with registering for various income-based programs intended to help consumers pay their water and sewage bills.
