PUC Fines Imperial Limousine Inc.

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today fined Imperial Limousine Inc., of Delaware County, $1,100 for charging improper rates.

The PUC’s Bureau of Transportation and Safety filed the complaint against the company on April 25, 2006, alleging that Imperial Limousine Inc., charged improper rates other than the specified tariff rate on file with the PUC. From August 11, 2005 through October 7, 2005 the company performed 11 trips, in which the passengers were not charged in accordance with Imperial’s tariff. The company had 20 days to respond to the complaint or the fine would be imposed. The PUC did not receive a response to the complaint.
