PUC Approves Sewer Rate Increase for Aldick Associates

Published on 1/28/1999

HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today approved a $5,670 (20 percent) annual increase in sewer rates for customers of Aldick Associates, Inc. in Schuylkill County, effective February 1.

Under the PUC’s action, average annual residential bills will increase $40, from $200 to $240. The Pine Grove-based company said the increase is needed to offset operating losses and to provide future growth for the utility. Current rates have been in effect since Aldick was certificated by the PUC in July 1990.

There were no protests to the increase request.

Aldick Associates provides service to 92 customers in Swatara Village, Pine Grove Township, Schuylkill County.
