Public Hearing Set for PECO Energy Gas Restructuring

Published on 3/1/2000

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Public Utility Commission (PUC) has scheduled a hearing to receive public comment on the request of PECO Energy for approval of its proposed gas restructuring plan.

Administrative Law Judge Marlane R. Chestnut will conduct a hearing in:

- King of Prussia on March 6 at 7 p.m. in Freedom Hall, Upper Merion Township Building, 175 West Valley Forge Road.

Customer testimony will become part of the record on which the PUC will base its decision in the case.

Under the natural gas competition law, customers may choose the company that supplies their natural gas. However, the gas will still be distributed by the local distribution utility, like PECO.

The PUC will continue to regulate rates for distribution services for new and existing customers.
