PUC Approves Clarion County Taxi Fare Increase

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission today authorized Clarion County Taxi to increase its first-mile fare by 45 cents, effective tomorrow, May 12, 2000.

Fares will increase from $2.15 to $2.60 for the initial mile and from 50 cents to 75 cents for each additional mile. The company said the increase is expected to generate an additional $11,246 in revenue and is needed to continue full coverage of service to the Shippenville area. Current rates have been in effect since 1993.

Clarion County Taxi provides service between points in Clarion County.
