HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) has scheduled hearings to receive public comment on the request of Pike County Light and Power Company to increase the generation rates it charges customers.

Administrative Law Judge Charles E. Rainey will conduct hearings at:

  • Milford, on Wednesday, May 30, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Milford County Courthouse, Commissioner’s Meeting Room, 506 Broad Street.

Customer testimony will become part of the record on which the PUC will base its decision in the case.

The company said the increase is needed to correct a severe shortfall in recovery from customers of generation service costs.

Pike County Light & Power provides service to approximately 4,200 residential, commercial and industrial customers in Pike County.
