PUC Appoints Marcia M. Finisdore member of Consumer Advisory Council

HARRISBURG - The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today appointed Delaware County resident Marcia M. Finisdore as a member of its Consumer Advisory Council. Commissioner Aaron Wilson nominated her.
Finisdore is President and General Manager for V.C. Finisdore Inc., a construction and real estate investment firm. She comes to the Council with many years of experience as an advocate for people with disabilities and clients with HIV/AIDS. Finisdore currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Deaf Hearing Communication Center, and the Advisory Board of RRTC California Schools of Professional Psychology. She has served as a member of the PUCs Telecommunications Relay Service Advisory Board.
The Consumer Advisory Council represents the public in advising the PUC on matters related to the protection of consumer interests. Members also serve as a source of information and advice for the Commissioners. The current term for the CAC runs from July 2001 through June 2003. Council meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month and are open to the public.
