PUC Approves Fare Increase for Rainbow Limousine & Airport Paratransit Service

HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Public Utility Commission (PUC) has approved fare increases for Rainbow Limousine and Airport Paratransit Service to transport passengers to the airport from Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
The company proposed an across the board $2 (9 percent) increase per passenger trip between Philadelphia International Airport and the companys nine zones. Passengers will now pay:
- Zone 1 - $22 at the Best Western in Concordville.
$27 door to door within the boundaries of Concord,
Painters Cross Roads, Birmingham. - Zone 2 - $23 at the Ramada Inn in Chadds Ford.
$28 door to door within the boundaries of West Chester,
Township of West Goshen South, Westtown, Thornbury. - Zone 3 - $24 at the West Chester Holiday Inn in West Chester.
$29 door to door within the boundaries of Exton, Lionville,
Borough of Downington, Township of East Caln, West Whiteland,
and the Township of West Goshen North. - Zone 4 - $25 at the Holiday Inn Express in Exton.
$30 door to door within the boundaries of Coatesville, the
Townships of Caln, Frazer, South Coatesville and East Brandywine. - Zone 5 - $26 at the Holiday Inn in Lionville.
$31 door to door within the boundaries of Valley Township
West Caln, West Brandywine Township, the Village of Wagontown. - Zone 6 - $27 at the Tabas Hotel in Downingtown.
$32 door to door within the boundaries Kenneth Square and
Pennsbury. - Zone 7 - $28 at the Longwood Inn in Longwood.
$33 door to door within the Village of Longwood. - Zone 8 - $29 at the Oxford Inn in Oxford.
$34 door to door within Oxford. - Zone 9 - $29 at the Comfort Inn in Pottstown.
The company said that the fare increase is necessary to cover day to day increased costs of doing business such as fuel, maintenance and repairs.
