PUC Approves Rate Increase for Can Do Wastewater Division

HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) yesterday approved Can Do Wastewater’s request to increase rates to industrial customers by $66,821 (24.4 percent).

The company wants to raise rates to recover increases in other operation and maintenance expenses and provide funds to repay a proposed PENNVEST loan.

Can Do Wastewater Division serves 38 industrial customers in Humbolt Industrial Park, Hazle Township, Luzerne County and McAdoo Industrial Park, Banks Township, Carbon County.
