HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today tentatively approved the request by Myers Gas Company to increase rates by $15,880 (22.11 percent).
With the increase, the average residential bill will increase approximately $78 annually, from $354 to $432, based on 48 Mcf annually. The increase would affect 194 residential customers in Venango County.
The new tariff can become effective on a 5-day notice to customers. The company said the increase is needed to pay operating expenses and to provide a modest return to the owner.
