HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) has approved the application of Warwick Community Ambulance Association to begin offering paratransit service in Lancaster County.

The PUC received three statements of support from businesses saying that the paratransit service will meet their needs. The association can provide transportation between points in Lancaster County and to points within Pennsylvania for two-way trips. Paratransit carriers often use vans to transport customers.

Warwick Community Ambulance can begin to provide service after filing its rate with the PUC and providing proof of insurance.

Warwick Community Ambulance Association, located in Lititz, is a nonprofit corporation that has been providing emergency ambulance and medical transportation services in Lancaster County since 1956.
