Public Input Hearing Set for Meadowcrest Water Company Request for Rate Increase

HARRISBURG - The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) has scheduled a hearing to receive public comment on Meadowcrest Water Companys request for a $64,353 (106 percent) rate increase.
Administrative Law Judge Richard M. Lovenwirth will conduct a hearing in:
- Shavertown, Luzerne County, on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. at the Kingston Township Municipal Building, 180 East Center Street.
Under the companys proposal, the annual bill for an average residential customer would increase approximately $169, from $159 to $328. The rate increase would affect approximately 374 residential customers.
Customer testimony will become part of the record on which the PUC will base its decision in the case.
