PUC Approves Rate Increase for Tioga County Moving Company

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) yesterday approved a rate increase for Flamingo Moving & Storage of Tioga County.

The company will increase the weekday hourly rate for a three-man crew and one vehicle by $4, from $93 to $97. The increase covers the transportation of household goods between points in Bradford, Clinton, Lycoming, Potter, Sullivan, Tioga and Union counties. The last rate increase was July 2000.

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission ensures safe, reliable and reasonably priced electric, natural gas, water, telephone and transportation service for Pennsylvania consumers, by regulating public utilities and by serving as responsible stewards of competition.
