The seminar is sponsored by the Electric Power Supply Association; the New York Society of Securities Analysts; and the New York City Bar Association. The seminar runs from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Chairman Thomas will be part of the Regulatory Panel at 11:30 a.m., joining Scott Miller, Director of Market Development with FERC, and Carol Murphy, Vice President of Government Affairs and Communications with the New York ISO (Independent System Operator).
Chairman Thomas was asked to participate because of Pennsylvanias continuing leadership related to electric competition. The national experts are gathering Monday to address the outlook for 2002 in the wake of last years California power shortage and the Enron Corp. bankruptcy.
