PUC to Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Legacy

HARRISBURG -- The Public Utility Commission’s (PUC) Diversity Advisory Committee will present a program commemorating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, in Hearing Room 2 on the Ground Floor of the Commonwealth Keystone Building in Harrisburg.

PUC Chairman Glen R. Thomas will offer welcoming remarks and his reflections on the life and legacy of Dr. King.

Dr. Dorothy King of Pennsylvania State University will present a dramatic reading, "Poetry for Peace." Musical entertainment will be provided by PUC Bureau of Consumer Services employee Lionel Gonzalez, and students from Harrisburg High School will explore the contributions of Dr. King.
