PUC Suspends Request for Rate Increase by Little Washington Wastewater Company

Under the companys proposal, the average annual bill for residential customers using 69,000 gallons of water a year would increase approximately $150, from $502 to $652. The rate increase would affect approximately 214 residential customers.
The proposed increase will be suspended for up to seven months from its March 7 proposed effective date, and assigned to a PUC administrative law judge for a recommended decision or settlement. The recommended decision or settlement then will be sent to the Commissioners to make the final decision.
The company said the increase is needed to cover state and federal environmental requirements.
