HARRISBURG -The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) has approved a request by the Fryburg Water Company to increase water rates by $12,066 (20 percent).

Under the company’s proposal, the bill for an average residential customer using 36,000 gallons of water a year would increase approximately $62 from $311 to $373.
