PUC Fines A-Apollo Transfer Inc. for Violations

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today fined A-Apollo Transfer Inc., of Philadelphia, $10,000 for operating without a certificate of public convenience between Oct. 12, 2004, and Nov. 2, 2004.
The PUC’s Bureau of Transportation and Safety filed the complaint against the company on June 15, 2005. The company was given 20 days to respond to the complaint or the fine of $10,000 would be imposed. The PUC did not receive a response during that time.
The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission ensures safe, reliable and reasonably priced electric, natural gas, water, telephone and transportation service for Pennsylvania consumers, by regulating public utilities and by serving as stewards of competition.
