PUC Issues Suez Water PA Audit Report & Implementation Plan

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) has released a Management Efficiency Investigation of Suez Water Pennsylvania Inc. (Suez Water) evaluating the implementation of recommendations from a March 2017 Focused Management and Operations Audit Report.

Suez Water effectively or substantially implemented half of PUC
recommendations and has acted on 8 additional recommendations

The Commission voted 4-0 to make the audit report and Suez Water’s implementation plan public.  The Commission found that the company had effectively or substantially implemented 13 of the 26 prior management audit recommendations reviewed and has taken some action on eight additional recommendations.

Among the more notable improvements achieved by Suez Water are:

  • Established and achieved an inventory turnover rate goal of 2.0 in 2019.
  • Increased its main replacement activity.
  • Improved call center performance.
  • Reduced Non-Revenue Water levels through the use of technology.
