The June 1 Collaborative Enables Installers to Provide Updates on PA’s Interconnection Process and Suggest Future Improvements

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) is holding a statewide collaborative with installers of distributed generation systems on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, in Harrisburg.

The collaborative, organized through the PUC’s Bureau of Technical Utility Services (TUS), is comprised of two meeting sessions and provides Commission staff with an opportunity to hear directly from front-line installers on how well Pennsylvania’s interconnection process is working and what, if any, actions should be considered for improvement.

Two Sessions on June 1

Two identical sessions are scheduled for June 1 in Harrisburg, with in-person attendance strongly encouraged.  The meetings will be held in the Forest Conference Room (atrium level) of the Keystone Office Building, 400 North St., Harrisburg, PA 17120.

The first morning session will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and focus on installer experiences within the service areas of the PECO, PPL and Met-Ed electric distribution companies (EDCs).  A second afternoon session will be held from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and focus on installer experiences within the service territories of Duquesne Light Company and the three remaining FirstEnergy companies – West Penn Power, Penelec and Penn Power.

Interested individuals unable to attend in-person may participate online via MS Teams links:

Additionally, interested individuals may also call into a session, however TUS notes that callers will remain in listen-only mode throughout the meeting.  Below is the call-in information for both sessions:
