HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) voted today to suspend and investigate a rate increase proposed by the Conneaut Lake Park Water Corporation, Inc. for water services provided to 162 full-time and seasonal residences, along with several businesses, in and around Conneaut Lake Park in Summit and Sadsbury Townships, Crawford County.
The Commission voted 5-0 today to suspend the rate change request filed by Conneaut Lake Park Water, which is seeking a $257,797 (970.8%) increase in annual revenues.
Today’s action by the Commission suspends the rate change request for up to seven months and the case will now be assigned to the PUC’s Office of Administrative Law Judge for an investigation, the scheduling of hearings and the issuance of a recommended decision.
