HE STATES HIS ELE- CTRIC CONSUMPTION HAS GONE DOWN, BUT HAS NOT BEEN RECORDED BY THE METER. HE WANTS THE PUC TO FIND OUT WHY DUQUESNE LIGHT IS USING AN ESTIMATED AVERAGE LIST. HE STATES THE METER IS NOT SHOWING THE REDUCED USAGE.
F-00559860 Closed 4/15/1999 COMPLAINANT BELIEVES HIS ELECTRIC USAGE ISN'T GOVERNED BY WHAT ELECTRIC APPLIANCE HE HAS IN USE BUT BY A COMPUTER CHIP INSTALLED IN THE METER ITSELF. HE HAS UNPLUGGED ALL APPLIANCES AND WATCH THE METER CONTINUE TO MOVE. THERE ISN'T ANYTHING WRONG WITH HIS WIRING. WHEN THE METER WAS REMOVED FROM THE BASE IT STOPPED IMMEDIATELY SO HOW CAN A T.V, REFRIGERATOR, CLOCK RADIO, FAN AND A FURNACE GENERATE THE USAGE THAT IS SHOWN ON HIS METER. WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO CHECK ALL METERS TO SEE IF THE METERS HAVE THE PARTS THAT ARE SHOWN IN THE BLUE PRINTS OR SOME TYPE OF COMPUTER CHIP.
