SHE FEELS THAT THE BILL WAS SO HIGH BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT READING THE METER. SHE WOULD LIKE FOR THE PUC TO SET UP A BUDGET AMOUNT TO PAY THE LATE BILLS THAT SHE CAN AFFORD. SHE STATES THINGS ARE ROUGH RIGHT NOW BECAUSE SHE IS NOT WORKING BECAUSE SHE HAD A STROKE IN SEPTEMBER 2001.
C-20028387 Closed 8/26/2002 COMPLAINANT STATES PPL WILL NOT GIVE HIM A WRITTEN RECEIPT WITHOUT CHARGING $1.00 FOR THE SERVICE. HE BELIEVES IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSUME THE COST. WITHOUT A WRITTEN RECEIPT HE IS PLACED AT A DISADVANTAGE WHEN TRYING TO CORRECT BUSINESS ERRORS. HE WANTS PUC TO ASK PPL TO RETURN TO THEIR OLD POLICY OF ISSUING A WRITTEN RECEIPT WHEN REQUESTED AS "PROOF OF PAYMENT". HE ALSO WANTS PPL TO REFUND $1.00 FOR EACH RECEIPT CUSTOMERS WERE UNFAIRLY CHARGED. HE FURTHER ASKS PUC TO ASSIST LEGISLATURE IN PASSING A LAW REQUIRING A WRITTEN RECEIPT.
