Z-01019096 Closed 10/30/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES PPL WAS NOT READING THEIR METER FOR MONTHS DUE TO A SHRUB BEING IN THE WAY. SHE WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THIS TILL MARCH OR APRIL. SHE RECEIVED A LETTER WHERE SHE WAS ON A BUDGET AMOUNT. COMPLAINANT STATED SHE CALLED THE COMPANY AND FOUND OUT ALL OF A SUDDEN THAT SHE OWED A HUGE AMOUNT. SHE FEELS SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SENT A LETTER WHEN HER BILL WAS GETTING SO HIGH SHE STATES SHE IS 67 YEARS OLD AND HER EARNING POWER IS AT ITS LOWEST. SHE FEELS THAT THE BILL WAS SO HIGH BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT READING THE METER. SHE WOULD LIKE FOR THE PUC TO SET UP A BUDGET AMOUNT TO PAY THE LATE BILLS THAT SHE CAN AFFORD. SHE STATES THINGS ARE ROUGH RIGHT NOW BECAUSE SHE IS NOT WORKING BECAUSE SHE HAD A STROKE IN SEPTEMBER 2001.
