C-2011-2272850 Closed 11/7/2011 Complaintant states that on August 21, 2011 an electrical surge or disruption occured. Complaintant states the elecric flickered and came back on between 3pm- 3:20pm. Complaintant states that when the electricity came back on the television had blown up, the refridgerator was almost lost as well as a cold/hot water dispenser. Complaintant had found out a wire came down on Audubon Road. Complaintant states that a representative told them that a pole was hit, but no repair work was require to fix the pole. Complaintant states that the stress from the wires being stretched caused the wire to snap and this caused the flickering that destroyed thier appliances. Complaintant states that if PECO would have fixed the problem immediately this would not have occured. Complaintant wants PECO to do the right thingand fix the problem.

Complaintant states that a manager said that it would cost $525 for return of their service. Complaintant states that they were told after paying that service would return in 2-3 days. Complaintant states the managertold them that if their 81 year old mother had no health issues that return service was not a priority. Complaintant would like the supervisor reprimanded for unprofessional conduct, their deposit accredited back to their account, and for someone to look at their account, complaintant states that they do not owe thousands of dollars.
