C-20016446 Closed 11/21/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES SHE OWNS A DUPLEX @ 1226 HELLERMAN STREET, THE SECOND FLOOR IS UNOCCUPIED AND THE ELECTRIC HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR THE PAST 18 MONTHS. PECO SENT A NOTICE THAT A METER CHANGE WAS IN EFFECT AND ON 6/18/01 SENT SOMEONE TO CHANGE HER METER ON THE FIRST FLOOR. TWO WEEKS LATER, SHE SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING, SHE WENT UPSTAIRS TO DISCOVER THAT THE REFRIGERA- TOR WHICH HAD ITS DOORS OPEN BECAUSE IT WAS NOT IN USE HAD BEEN RUNNING - THE COMPRESSOR CONSEQUENTLY BURNED OUT AND WATER FROM THE FRIDGE HAD CAUSED THE TILES ON KITCHEN FLOOR TO RISE UP. THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE PECO WORKER MISTAKENLY TURNED ELECTRIC ON TO UNOCCUPIED OFFICIALLY SHUT-OFF 2ND FLOOR. SHE CALLED PECO ON OR ABOUT 7/2/01 AS SOON AS SHE DISCOVERED THEIR MISTAKE. SHE STATES SHE HAS A BROKEN REFRIGERATOR AND A WATER DAMAGED FLOOR AS A DIRECT RESULT OF PECO VISITING HER HOME. SHE WANTS THE PUC TO HOLD PECO RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGED FLOORING AND BROKEN REFRIGERATOR THAT HAPPENED AS A RESULT OF THEM BEING AT HER HOME. PECO SHOULD PAY FOR DAMAGES THEY CAUSED.

THE PROCEDURES PECO USED IN TRYING TO RESOLVE THE MATTER, AND THE POWER LOSS IN HER AREA THROUGH THE EARLY PART OF THE YEAR ARE PART OF HER COMPLAINT. ALSO TO CHECK PECO BILLING RECORDS TO OBTAIN A PROPER BILLING CHARGE.
C-20016405 Closed 11/5/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THE COMPLAINT IS OVERCHARGING ON ELECTRIC BILLS, IN THE PAST THREE-FOUR YEARS. HE WANTS TO BE RE-IMBURSED FOR THE OVERCHARGE.
C-20016398 Closed 11/8/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES IN REGARDS TO THE TAMPERED METER, IT IS APPARENT THAT THIS WAS DONE PRIOR TO HER PURCHASING THE PROPERTY. HOWEVER, SHE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND HOW PECO ENERGY'S TECHNICIANS COULD NOT HAVE RECOGNIZED THIS PROBLEM WITH THE METER AFTER ONGOING MONTHLY READINGS FOR MORE THAN SEVEN YEARS. SHE WANTS THIS METER TO BE DISMISSED ON HER BEHALF.
C-20016379 Closed 10/31/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES HIS WIFE CALLED AND REPORTED A ADDRESS CHANGE FOR THERE PECO BILL. THEY MOVED AND DID NOT RECEIVE THE FINAL BILL TO THE CREDIT AGENCY ON OCTOBER 4, 2001 AND THEY NEVER RECEIVED THEIR FINAL BILL FOR THE OLD ADDRESSS TILL OCTOBER 7, 2001. THE COMPLAINANT PAID THE BILL RIGHT AWAY BUT FEELS THAT PECO NEEDS TO HAVE THIS TAKEN OFF THEIR CREDIT WITH THE CREDIT AGENCY SINCE THEY COULD NOT PAY THE BILL BEFORE THEY RECEIVED IT.
C-20016378 Closed 10/25/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THAT THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 308 IS A NON PROFIT ORGAN. AND IT IS CURRENTLY COMPLETING A REORGANIZATION WHICH HOPEFULLY BE COMPLETED NO LATER THEN MID DECEMBER 2001. THEIR TREASURER RESIGNED AND HADN'T EX PLAINED THE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT. THEY CURRENTLY HAVE NO INCOME BUT SHOULD BY THE MIDDLE OF NOVEMBER. THEY WOULD LIKE TO SET UP PAYMENTS ON A NOMINAL AMOUNT AND SET UP A PLAN FOR THE DIFFERENCE.
C-20016377 Closed 10/25/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES HER ELEC WAS SHUT OFF 9/01/01 AND IT WAS RESTORED 9/13/01. THEN PECO SHUT IT OFF AGAIN ON 10/09/01. COMPLAINANT STATES SHE NEVER RECEIVED A SHUT OFF NOTICE. SHE STATED THEY WANTED $357.00 AND SHE STATES SHE JUST PAID $200.00 ON 9/10 AND ONLY $90.00 WENT TO THE BILL. SHE CALLED PECO ON 10/9/01 AND SPOKE TO A REP. AND ASK TO REVIEW THE BILL. SHE STATES THE REPS HAD NO REVIEW OF THE NOTICE. THEN SHE ASK TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO CALL HER BANK. THEY SUPERVISOR NEVER CALLED HER BACK TILL 10/12/01. SHE STATES SHE SPOKE TO A VALERIE FISHER FROM PUC WHEN SHE RETURNED HOME AT 5:00 PM. AT THIS TIME SHE HAD NO ELECTRIC. SHE CALLED PECO AND THEY STATED THEY CALLED AND THERE WAS NO ANSWER SO SHE WOULD HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE NEXT DAY. SHE THEN CALLED AND SPOKE TO A SUSAN NOBLES AND THEN A SUPERVISOR. PECO NEVER CALLED TILL 7:00 PM. SHE WANTS THE PUC TO FIND OUT THEY CAN SHUT OFF HER ELECTRIC WITH FIRST NOT GIVING A NOTICE. SHE FEEL SHE IS OWED A APOLOGY. SHE WANTS TO KNOW WHY IT WAS THAT WHEN SHE WAS SHUT OFF THERE WAS NOT ANYTHING SHOWING ON THE EMPLOYEES SCREENS. SHE ALSO WANTS TO KNOW WHY AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS IT TOOK 3 DAYS TO BE ABLE TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR.
C-20016376 Closed 10/29/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES HE RECEIVED A MONTHLY BILL WHICH WAS UNSUALLY HIGH AND IT WAS NOT ESTIMATED. AT THE SAME TIME HE STATED THEY REPLACED THE METER. ON THE BILL HE WAS CHARGED $108.33 FOR A CDS POWER PROVIDER. HE CALLED PECO TOLD HIM THAT THE STATE IMPLEMENTED A COMPETIVE SUPPLIER AND HE WAS CHOSEN.
C-20016375 Closed 10/29/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES CLAIMS HE HAS PAID HIS BILLS AND TWICE HIS ELECTRIC HAS BEEN SHUT OF BY THE COMPANY. HE ASK FOR A COPY OF HIS RECORD AND STILL HAS NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING. HE CLAIMS THAT THROUGH THE ELECTRIC BEING SHUT OFF HE HAS HAD FOOD THAT HAS SPOILED. COMPLAINANT STATES THEY MADE HIM PAY MONEY TO HAVE HIS SERVICE TURNED BACK ON WHEN HE FEELS HE WAS PAID UP TO DATE. HE WANTS THE COMPANY TO RETURN THE MONEY THEY OVERCHARGED AND FOR THEM TO HAVE TO GIVE HIM CREDIT FOR THE FOOD HE LOST.

SHE STATES HER HUSBAND IS DISABLED AND THEY LIVE ON A VERY LOW INCOME. THEY LIVE ON SSI & DPA.

THEY WANT THE PUC TO ORDER PECO TO FURTHER INVESTIGATE THE SITUATION BY EITHER COMPARING THEIR CHARGES DURING THE TIME WAS VACANT TO THE PRIOR YEAR WHEN THE HOUSE WAS OCCU- PIED.
C-20016260 Closed 10/1/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES SHE HAS BEEN ILL, AND FORCED TO TAKE LOW PAYING TEMPORARY JOBS FOLLOWING A TERMINATION/LAYOFF (THE COMPANY CLOSED) LAST FALL. SHE NEEDS A GRANT TO HELP PAY BILLS.
