Complaintan tstates that they are not responsible for a delinquent tenant's bill.Complaintant wants the lien removed from her property at 2013 Stenton Avenue.
C-2011-2279259 Closed 12/6/2011 Complaintant states that they had the water department change a battery on their water meter when a strong odor of gas was detected in their basement. Complaintant states that a Technician for PGW came and found a leak coming from the back of the gas meter, which needed repaired as well as the meter needing replaced.Complaintnat states that gas was sshutt off for their dryer and stove to be safe in case gas was leaking from them. Complaintant states gas lines were changed to be careful, and that they received a bill for $12, 169.00. Complaintant states that the meter that was replaced had been set incorrectly, reading only half of the gas usage. Complaintant states that by law PGW could only go back four years. Complaintant states that they received a new bill, which was for $3700 after the old bill was readjusted for the four years, but they still are unsatisfied with the amount. Complaintant states that they have paid the amount owed each bill. Complaintant wants to not pay the bill for the faulty equipment that belonged to PGW.

F-2011-2267974 Closed 10/11/2011 Complaintant states that they started service in July 2010. Complaintant states that they received a bill for $846.77, when normally the bill was about $20 a month and Philadelphia Gas Works sht off their gas in May 2011. Complaintant states tha they requested records from previous tenants to compare bills for consistency in amount of bill. Complaintant states that Philadelphia Gas Works technician checked the meter and said it was old and needed replaced. Complaintant states technician took the meter back and said Philadelphia Gas Works would contact them. Complaintant states that they contacted Philadelphia Gas Works after not hearing back, and got a meter ID #, but have not heard back yet after the meter was exchanged 6/13/2011. Complaintant states that they did not receive a shut off notice and after te hgas was already shut off received a letter with options in a neighbor's mailbox instead of their mailbox. Complaintant states that the technician that took the meter caused extensive damage that needed repaired. Complaintant would like their meter to finally be tested, and the bill to be corrected to reflect incorrect readings from November 2010 to March 2010.
F-2011-2279131 Closed 12/5/2011 Complaintant states that they want to know how Philadelphia Gas Works has charged them $5447.67 over 48 months, and calculate the difference in amount that complainant was suppose to pay each month. Complaintant states that in MAY 2011, there was a new meter installed and their bill was lowered from $5447.67 to $1308.88. Complaintant states that if Philadelphia Gas Works looks at the bill over the last four years that complaintant does not owe anything. Complaintant wants the amount $1308.88 removed from account., and have termination notice withdrawn.
