DURING THAT TIME THE GAS WAS SHUT OFF LEAVING HER THREE YEAR OLD SON AND HER WITHOUT HOT WATER OR GAS TO COOK THEIR FOOD. IT TOOK FIVE DAYS BEFORE SOMEONE CAME TO HER HOUSE. SHE WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD BE THERE BETWEEN 8 AM - 4 PM, NO ONE ARRIVED UNTIL 8:15 P.M.. SHE STATES THAT SHE IS A SINGLE PARENT WHO LOST A DAY OF PAY DUE TO THIS. SHE WANTS THEM TO IMPLEMENT A SYSTEM WHEN A MORE SPECIFIC TIME FRAME IS GIVEN TO THE CONSUMER. AND SHE WANTS PHILADELPHIA GAS WORKS TO COMPENSATE HER FOR LOST WAGES DUE TO THEIR MISMANAGEMENT AND UNORGANIZATION.

SHE STATES THE PUC AND PGW HAS NEVER STATED AT WHAT RATE THE PAST USAGE HAS BEEN BILLED AT FOR THIS BILL. SHE WANTS THE PUC TO INVESTIGATE AS TO WHAT RATE, THE OUTSTANDING PAST USED GAS BILL WAS BILLED AT AND INVESTIGATE AS TO WHAT A TWO BEDROOM 2ND FLOOR APARTMENT GAS USAGE SHOULD BE.
C-2009-2106051 Closed 5/2/2009 Complainant states Philadelphia Gas Works provided service for two years to her rented house without providing a bill. Complainant also states she was not informed to contact PGW to establish gas service.
