AFTER TWO MORE WEEKS HE RECEIVED A BILL FOR $689.00. HE STATES SINCE THIS OCCURRED IN 1997 BY THE GAS COMPANY EMPLOYEE HE FEELS HE SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED TO HIM.

HE IS ASKING FOR THE COMMISSION ASSISTANCE IN SHUTTING OFF THIS SERVICE, CLOSING HIS ACCOUNT AND OBTAINING AN ACCURATE FINAL BILL BASED ON ACTUAL READING.

HIS MOTHER HAS HAD A SERVICE PLAN WITH THE COMPANY FOR YEARS. WHEN AN EMPLOYEE OF THE COMPANY CAME TO CHECK OUT THE PROBLEM, HE LOOKED AT THE THERMOSTAT AND WENT DOWNSTAIRS FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN STATED NOTHING WAS WRONG. THE MAN THEN RETURNED TO HIS TRUCK AND SAT FOR 45 MINUTES BEFORE DRIVING OFF. COMPLAINANT THAN LATER REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT HIMSELF. HIS MOTHER HAS HAD A PLAN WITH THE COMPANY FOR YEARS, AND THE ONLY TIME SHE NEEDED TO USE IT, THE EMPLOYEE CAME OUT AND DID NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. COMPLAINANT HAD TO FIX AT HIS OWN EXPENSE. HE WANTS THE COMPANY AND SOMEONE IN AUTHORITY TO KNOW THAT THE MAN WHO CAME OUT TO FIX THE THERMOSTAT, DID NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO FIX IT AND WASTED ALMOST AN HOUR SITTING OUT FRONT OF THEIR HOUSE.
