THEY BLAMED IT ON THE COMPUT- ERS AND SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE Y2K. SHE WOULD LIKE THE PUC TO HELP HER GET HER BILL DECREASED OR A REASONABLE PAYMENT PLAN THAT SHE CAN LIVE WITH WITHOUT HAVING TO STRUGGLE TO MAKE ENDS MEET.
C-2014-2438475 Closed 8/20/2014 Complainant states when PGW came to install a new gas meter they discovered a connector that bypassed PGW meter and tapped directly into the main gas line. She was told her gas would be shut off for Theft of Service. She states no one in her family was aware of this illegal gas line. She states they should not be responsible for these extra charges.

COMPLAINANT WENT TO THE COMPANY AND HAD THE SERVICE PUT IN HER NAME BUT WAS UNABLE TO GET AN AMOUNT THAT SHE WOULD BE PAYING. WHEN HER FIRST BILL CAME, IT WAS $2,800.00. SHE CONTACTED THE COMPANY AND WAS TOLD THE BUILDING WAS RUNNING ON ONE METER. COMPLAINANT THEN CONTACTED THE PUC AND EXPLAINED HER SITUATION. SHE WAS THEN TOLD THAT SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE LIVING IN THE BUILDING. COMPLAINANT STATES THE LANDLORDS SON LIVED NEXT DOOR TO HER. SHE WANTS THE PUC TO CLEAR HER NAME AND CREDIT BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T FEEL SHE SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE BUILDING.
