F-01022960 Closed 11/16/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES COMPLAINT IS THE BILLS EXCEED FOR WHAT THE PROPERTY USAGE IS. THE GAS COMPANY READ THE METER AND SAID THAT IT WAS OKAY. THEY CLAIM THERE WAS A LEAK THAT WAS CAUSING THE HIGH BILLS. SHE WANTS THE PUC TO TELL PGW THAT SHE WILL SETTLE THIS MATTER AS SOON AS SHE FINDS OUT THE RESULTS OF THE TESTING OF THE METER.

SHE STATES THE SAME PROBLEM THIS YEAR.

SHE TRANSFERRED THE SERVICE FROM HER ADDRESS TO ANOTHER ON THE DAY SHE MOVED. NEVERTHELESS, PGW BY MISTAKE KEPT ON BILLING HER FOR THE OLD ADDRESS. IN THE MEANTIME SHE DID NOT RECEIVE A BILL FOR THE NEW ADDRESS. SHE WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS THE MONTHLY PAYMENTS AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY EXIST AND STAY THE SAME AFTER SHE SPEAK WITH PGW REPS. SHE WOULD ALSO LIKE THE LATE CHARGES TO BE WAIVED IN THE AMOUNT OF $20 FOR EACH MONTH.
F-00937251 Closed 11/7/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THEY HAVE BEEN OVERCHARGED BY PGW. THEY FILL THEIR BILLS FOR 12/21/00 AND 1/24/01 WERE OUT OF LINE. THEY STATE THERE IS ONLY 2 PEOPLE LIVING IN THEIR HOUSE AND THEY KEEP THE HEAT BETWEEN 68 AND 70 ALWAYS. IT SHOWS AT THE BOTTOM OF HER BILL THAT THEIR INCREASE WAS TO BE $199.00 FOR THE YEAR AND IT WAS INCREASED BY $300.00 FOR ONE MONTH ADDITION TO INCREASES ON THE OTHER MONTHS BILLS. SHE FEELS THE METER MALFUNCTIONED OR IT WAS READ WRONG. SHE IS NOW A WIDOW AND LIVING ON A FIXED INCOME. SHE STATES SHE HAS ALWAYS PAID HER BILLS AND THAT THIS IS UNREASONABLE.
F-00961985 Closed 11/5/2001 PHILADELPHIA GAS WORKS WISHES TO APPEAL THE BCS DECISION DATED AUGUST 2, 2001 IN THE ABOVE REFERENCED CASE. PHILADELPHIA GAS WORKS STATES THE COMPLAINANT RECEIVED ESTIMATED BILL FOR FOUR YEARS (MAY 1997 THROUGH MAY 2001), AT THE SERVICE ADDRESS LOCATED AT 117 MCCLELLAN STREET, PHILADELPHIA, PA. AFTER RECEIVING AN ACTUAL METER READING IN MAY 17, 2001, THE CUSTOMER'S ACCOUNT WAS RE-BILLED TO ADJUST FOR THE ACTUAL METER READING. THE CUSTOMER MADE TOTAL PAYMENTS FOR THE PERIOD IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,208. THE CREDIT TO THE ACCOUNT WAS IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,688.84 WHICH WAS COMPUTED ON JUNE 13, 2001. PHILADELPHIA GAS WORKS REQUESTS THAT THE COMMISSION FIND THAT 66 PA C.S.A 2212(D AND PGW GAS TARIFF REGULATION 4.47, CONTROL THE APPLICATION OF THE 1-1/4% PER MONTH INTEREST RATE.
C-20016435 Closed 11/5/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES HE FEELS EVERYONE WHO HAS A BUISNESS IN THE SAME SHOPPING CENTER AS HIM HAS HAD THEIR BILLS ALL MIXED UP. HE FEELS PGW IS VERY POORLY MANAGED.

SHE ASK TO BE PUT ON A BUDGET AND BY 2000 THE BILLS WERE OVER WELMING AND SHE COULD NOT SEEM TO GET AHEAD. SHE SAID SHE WAS AFRAID TO RUN HER HEAT BECAUSE OF THE BILL BEING SO HIGH. SHE STATES THAT IT KEPT GETTING HIGHER & HIGHER. SHE STATES SHE WOULD LIKE THE COMMISSION TO SETTLE THIS DISPUTE AND TO FIND OUT WHAT HAS CAUSED HER BILL TO ESCALATE SO RAPIDLY AND CORRECT HER ACCOUNT.
