ON 8/18/00, SIGNED AN AGREEMENT WITH PHILADELPHIA GAS WORKS THAT COMPLAINANT WOULD PAY $239 ON 8/18/00 AND THEN EACH MONTH WOULD PAY $185. COMPLAINANT WANTS THE PUC TO HELP IN ADHERING TO THE AGREEMENT SIGNED ON 8/18/00 AND JULY 2001 OR ERASE THE TOTAL BILL.

IN JUNE 2001, PGW CLAIMED HE CURRENTLY OWED $1,393.24 AND WOULD TERMINATE SERVICE IF HE DID NOT AGREE TO PAY 20%. HE PAID $278 ON 6/25/01 AND WROTE THE PUC ASKING FOR AN INVESTIGATION. PGW WROTE HIM ON 7/11/01, HE RESPONDED ON 7/16/01 AND AGREED TO BE HOME FOR METER READING ON 7/18/01. ON 7/24/01 ORLANDO ROSARIO, CUSTOMER REVIEW UNIT OFFICER CALLED TO SAY HE TRACED 36 MONTHS OF USAGE AS WELL AS PAYMENTS AND CAME TO THE DECISION THAT HE OWES $427.07. HE STATES PGW HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN BILLING HIM INCORRECTLY FOR THE PAST 36 MONTHS. HE PAID EVERY BUDGET AMOUNT BILLED SINCE OBTAINING SERVICE IN JULY OF 1993. HE WANTS TO KNOW WHY HE IS BEING PENALIZED RETROACTIVELY FOR THEIR INCOMPETENCE.
C-20015953 Closed 8/1/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THAT DUE TO PGW'S CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT DOES NOT EXIST, HE WAS UNABLE TO NOTIFY THEM THAT HE WAS CHANGING ADDRESSES AND WANTED THEM TO DISCONTINUE HIS SERVICE AT HIS OLD ADDRESS. AFTER HAVING CALLED THEM MANY TIMES TO NO AVAIL, HE WROTE THEM A LETTER AND DIDN'T RECEIVE A RESPONSE. TO DATE, HE IS STILL BEING BILLED FOR SERVICE AT HIS PREVIOUS ADDRESS. HE WANTS THE PUC TO MAKE PGW FORMALLY APOLOGIZE FOR LYING TO THE PUBLIC, ACKNOWLEDGE THE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND MAKE THEM HIRE SOME OPERATORS TO ANSWER THEIR PHONES.
