A SWITCH WAS PURCHASED THAT DID NOT WORK AND DURING A TWO MONTH PERIOD, SHE LOST HEAT ON MANY OCCASIONS - LASTING DAYS AT A TIME. COMPLAINANT DOES NOT INTEND TO PAY FOR HEAT FOR THAT TIME. SHE WANTS THE PUC TO ADJUST HER CURRENT BILL AND DEDUCT $165 FROM SEASON SHE DID NOT RECEIVE ADEQUATE HEAT.
C-00015481 Closed 5/29/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES WHEN SHE FIRST MOVED TO HER HOME 5/99 SHE TOLD THE GAS COMPANY TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE OWNER TO HER NAME FOR BILLING, THEY DID NOT DO SO. THEY TOOK SIX MONTHS TO SEND HER AN ACTUAL BILL. UNFORTUNATELY, WHEN HER BILL WAS SENT THEY PRO-RATED HER BILL FOR $1,000 SINCE THEN SHE HAS BEEN HAVING A HARD TIME KEEPING HER BILL DOWN. THEY BLAMED IT ON THE COMPUT- ERS AND SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE Y2K. SHE WOULD LIKE THE PUC TO HELP HER GET HER BILL DECREASED OR A REASONABLE PAYMENT PLAN THAT SHE CAN LIVE WITH WITHOUT HAVING TO STRUGGLE TO MAKE ENDS MEET.
C-00015555 Closed 5/25/2001 COMPLAINANTS STATE THAT THEY ARE IN A REST HOME AND THAT IN 2000, THERE WAS NO FUNCTIONING GAS HEATER. A NEW HEATER WAS INSTALLED IN DECEMBER, YET THE BILLS FLUCTUATED BETWEEN $50.00 AND $844.00 PER MONTH. THEY STATE THAT THIS IS INCORRECT BECAUSE THE HOUSE HAS NOT BEEN OCCUPIED, THEIR QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN IGNORED, AND THEY HAD TO HIRE LEGAL COUNSEL TO HELP. THEY WANT TO KNOW WHO AT PGW IS IN A POSITION TO EXPLAIN THE CHARGES, ETC. THEY WANT THE PUC TO MAKE AN OFFICIAL CONTACT THEM TO CORRECT THE OVERCHARGES.
C-00015525 Closed 5/24/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES PGW RATES ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH AND MUST BE REDUCED IMMED- IATELY. SHE STATES SHE IS A SENIOR CITIZEN WITH A VERY LIMITED INCOME AND SHE CAN NOT AFFORD TO PAY THESE HIGH RATES.

SHE WANTS THE PUC TO SUS- PEND PAYMENT OF THE BACK BILL PENDING A DECISION, MAKE PGW ELIMINATE THE CLAIMED ARREARAGE, RULE THAT SHE OWES ONLY THE ONGOING ACTUAL USAGE AS REPOR- TED BY THE AMR, AND DECLARE CONSISTENT WITH THE TARIFF AND OTHER REGULATIONS THAT PGW MAY NOT GO BACK ANY FURTHER THAN A 6 MONTH PERIOD IN DETERMINING WHETHER ANY FINES OR PENALTIES MAY BE APPROPRIATELY PLACED AGAINST PGW FOR FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE TARIFF. LAW, AND ANY REGULATIONS THAT GOVERN THEM. SHE ALSO WANTS THE PUC TO DIRECT PGW TO PROVIDE ALL RELEVANT USAGE FIGURES AND RATE INFORMATION AS WELL AS ANY OTHER INFORMATION NEEDED TO EXPLAIN THE METHOD OF COMPUTATION FOR THE ARREARAGE THAT PGW CLAIMS.

Z-00836387 Closed 5/23/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THAT HE HAS HIGH BILLS DUE TO AN OLD METER AND THE PUC COMPUTER SYSTEM. AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS TO RECTIFY THIS, THEY FINALLY CHANGED HIS GAS METER. HE STATES THAT HE LIVES ALONE AND HAS NO CHILDREN, AND THAT THERE IS NO WAY THAT HE HAS USED $2637.38 IN GAS AS OF 3/20/01. HE WANTS THE PUC TO MAKE PGW CREDIT HIS ACCOUNT FOR $2000 AND HE WILL PAY THE DIFFERENCE PLUS HIS REGULAR BILL.
F-00822063 Closed 5/22/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THAT PGW INFORMED HIM THAT THEY WOULD INSTALL AN ELECTRIC GAS METER IN HIS HOME. THIS ONLY HAPPENED AFTER SOME TIME, AND ALTHUGH HE THOUGHT THAT THE ESTIMATED BILLING WOULD STOP AFTER THIS, IT CONTINUED FOR 3-4 MONTHS. WHEN HE ASKED WHY THIS WAS STILL HAPPENING, THEY INFORMED HIM THAT THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH METERS IN HIS AREA FOR THEM TO READ HIS METER. THEY THEN INSTALLED A NEW METER, AS THE OTHER ONE WAS DEFECTIVE, BUT STILL ESTIMATED HIS BILLS. HE WANTS THE PUC TO MAKE PGW BASE HIS BILLS ON ACTUAL METER READINGS.
C-00015476 Closed 5/21/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THAT THE BALANCE LEFT FROM THEIR TENANT'S GAS SERVICE WAS TRANSFERRED TO HIS ACCOUNT. THEY CREDITED ONE OF HIS ACCOUNTS AND MOVED THE BALANCE TO ANOTHER OF HIS PROPERTIES WHICH WAS SOLD AND IN ORDER TO COMPLETE SETTLEMENT, HE PAID $1615.91. HE WANTS THE PUC TO BILL HIS TENANT FOR HER GAS, REIMBURSE HIM $1615.91 THAT HE PAID AT THE SETTLEMENT OF HIS PROPERTY, AND STOP HARRASSING MRS. RIVERA WITH SHUT OFF NOTICES.
Z-00921196 Closed 5/21/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THAT SHE CANNOT MAKE HER PAYMENTS BECAUSE HER HUSBAND IS DISABLED. HE APPLIED FOR DISABILITY BUT IS WAITING FOR THE APPLICATION TO GO THROUGH. SHE WANTS THE PUC TO HELP HER SO THAT SHE CAN STILL HAVE GAS WHILE SHE FINDS OUT WHAT HER INCOME WILL BE.
C-00015486 Closed 5/21/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THAT HER GAS BILLS ARE TOO HIGH. SHE STATES THAT HER BILL HAS MORE THAN DOUBLED, AND THAT HER RATES NEED TO BE REDUCED ASAP. SHE WANTS THE PUC TO MAKE PGW REDUCE THEIR RATES.
C-00015487 Closed 5/21/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THAT ON 11/2/00, HE SCHEDULED A SERVICE DISCONNECT ORDER WITH PGW. ON 4/26/01, HE RECEIVED A CALL FROM A COLLECTION AGENCY INFORMING HIM THAT HE OWED PGW OVER $2000. HE THEN RETURNED TO THEIR OFFICE TO FIND THAT THE DISCONNECT ORDER HAD BEEN VOIDED. HE SCHEDULED ANOTHER APPT, AND WAS INFORMED THAT PGW COULD NOT FIND THE METER. THE PGW REPRESENTATIVE TOLD HIM THAT A FINAL BILL WOULD BE SENT, WHICH SHOWS THAT HE IS IN ARREARS BY $330.03 HE WANTS THE PUC TO INVESTIGATE THE CHARGES ON HIS BILLS, AND MAKE PGW CREDIT HIS ACCOUNT FOR $330.03.
C-00015463 Closed 5/21/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THAT HE HAS RECEIVED BILLS FOR GAS THAT HE DID NOT USE. PGW INFORMED HIM THAT HIS METER WAS OVER 30 YEARS OLD, AND THEY REPLACED IT BUT NEVER CREDITED HIS BILL FOR THE EXCESS. HE WANTS THE PUC TO MAKE PGW CREDIT HIS ACCOUNT FOR $324.16 AND BASE HIS BILL FOR THAT MONTH ON USAGE OF LESS THAN 20 CCF. HE ALSO STATES THAT HE NEEDS A HEARING SCHEDULED FOR A MONDAY MORNING OR EARLY AFTERNOON DUE TO HIS WORK SCHEDULE.

HE HAS SENT PGW 26 LETTERS WITH NO RESPONSES. THEY HAVE ALSO FAILED TO KEEP THE APPOINTMENTS TO READ HIS METER. HE WANTS THE PUC TO FIND OUT WHY PGW IS IGNORING HIM, AND WANTS TO HAVE HIS BILL ADJUSTED ACCORDINGLY.

SHE STATES THAT SHE HAS LIVED AT HER ADDRESS FOR 1 1/2 YEARS, AND SHE STATES THAT SHE THINKS THE BILL WAS LEFT UNPAID BY THE PREVIOUS OCCUPANTS. SHE STATES SHE WENT TO PGW'S CHESTNUT ST LOCATION IN PHILADELPHIA ON 8/26/99 AND MIKE HUFFNAGLE PURPORTEDLY REMOVED $1,496.92 PLUS INTEREST FROM HER OUTSTANDING PGW BILL. WELL MR. HUFFNAGLE MISREPRESENTED TO HER WHAT HE SAID HE DID. SHE WANTS THE $1,496.92 REMOVED FROM HER BILL FOR 2349 ST. ALBAN'S, REDUCE AMOUNT OWED FOR 542 A SOUTH 48TH ST, PROVIDE A MORE CLEAR AND DETAILED ACCOUNTING OF WHAT AMOUNTS SHE ACTUALLY OWES.

HIS NEXT BILL REFLECTED HIGHER USAGE RATES THAN AVERAGE, AND HE THINKS THAT THEY ARE BILLING HIM FOR THE LEAK. COMPLAINANT WANTS THE PUC TO MAKE PGW REFUND HIS ACCOUNT FOR THE EXCESS.
