AFTER TWO MORE WEEKS HE RECEIVED A BILL FOR $689.00. HE STATES SINCE THIS OCCURRED IN 1997 BY THE GAS COMPANY EMPLOYEE HE FEELS HE SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED TO HIM.
C-00015160 Closed 3/22/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES THEY ARE A VERY SMALL NON-PROFIT FAITH BASED ORGANIZATION AND HAS A PROPERTY AT 1925 HARRISON STREET, WHICH IS BEING USED AS A LOW-INC- OME HOUSING AND IS PART OF THEIR DRUG & ALCOHOL RELAPSE PREVENTION PROGRAM. THEY CURRENTLY HAVE A TENANT RESIDING AT THIS ADDRESS. THEY CONTACTED PGW BECAUSE THEY HAD NOT BEEN RECEIVING ANY BILLS FOR THIS PROPERTY. PGW READ THE METER AND USED AN ACTUAL READING FROM 4/1/00 TO THE CURRENT 2/3/01. THIS RESULTED IN A BILL OF APPROXIMATELY $1,600. THEY ARE REQUESTING THAT PGW JUSTIFY THE AMOUNT OF THEIR REQUESTED BILL.
C-00015125 Closed 3/19/2001 COMPLAINANT STATES HE STATES PGW IS USING A STARTING INDEX NUMBER OF 4872, WHICH REPRESENTS THE LAST READING TAKEN IN APRIL OF 1992. THIS READING WAS TAKEN FOR A PAST TENANT OF THIS PROPERTY, WHEN THIS OWNER OR TENANT REQUESTED A SHUT OFF. ON 9/3/99, PGW REMOVED A PADLOCK FROM HIS METER AND TURNED ON HIS GAS, HOWEVER, THEY FAILED TO TAKE A READING AT THIS TIME. HE STATES HE TOOK READING OF METER AND THE NUMBER WAS 10285. HE STATES HE FEELS THAT THE PREVIOUS TENANT WAS USING GAS WITHOUT PGW KNOWLEDGE. HE IS ASKING THE PUC TO REQUEST THAT PGW PRESENT A HARD COPY OF THE READING OF 9/3/99.

HE WOULD LIKE ALL GAS CHARGES INCURRED AFTER 8/1/00 TO BE REMOVED FROM HIS ACCOUNT, AND A NEW FINAL BILL TO BE SENT TO HIS CURRENT ADDRESS.

HE KEPT ON CALLING THE PHILADELPHIA GAS CO TO COME OUT AND REPAIR HIS HEATER. IN NOVEMBER 2000, A GENTLEMEN CAME OUT AND TOLD HIM THAT THE FUSABLE LINK HAD TO BE REPLACED. REPAIRMENT KEPT COMI- NG OUT TO FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND THE REAL CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. HE STATES HE AGREES TO PAY THE GAS BILLS, BUT HE WANTS THE GAS COMPANY TO TAKE OFF ALL THE CHARGES THAT HE HAD INCURRED FOR THE LATE FEES AND THE OVER PRICED PART THAT WAS DEFECTIVE UPON INSTALLATION TO BEGIN WITH.

SHE STATES THIS AUTOMATIC READ- ING NEVER OCCURRED. SHE WANTS FOR THE PUC TO VIEW A PRINTOUT OF GAS BILLS FROM 1994 TO THE PRESENT IN ORDER TO COMPARE THE HEATING GAS USAGE FROM 1994 TO 1999 TO THE TIME WHEN THE NEW METER WAS INSTALLED.
