| Case Description | Overpressure event in Peoples distribution system in Robinson, PA- Indiana County. This overpressure was a reportable incident as defined in the Federal Safety Regulations. This was a release of gas that resulted in damages exceeded $50K. The cause was operator error during regulator station maintenance. We included three attachments to reference for further clarification. In short, Peoples overpressured 221 services/homes resulting in three furnace fires, and the need to replace numerous appliances. Additionally the Company replaced sections of the distribution system. | ||
