Technical Conference on Resource Adequacy

The PUC held a Technical Conference regarding electric resource adequacy on Monday, November 25, 2024. 

As part of the informal educational process, Commissioners posed questions to the
panelists and engaged the panelists in discussions related to electric resource adequacy
in Pennsylvania.

Comments regarding the Technical Conference may be eFiled with the Secretary of the Commission on or before January 9, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. All comments will be posted on the Commission’s website.
Any questions regarding this Technical Conference should be directed to PC-RATechConference@pa.gov.

 

Agenda

Agenda - The Technical Conference held three sessions with industry panelists.

  • Session 1: What are the right mix of resources and how do we
    get them online? Will effective load carrying capacity (ELCC),
    properly designed, accomplish this?
  • Session 2: How do we facilitate completion of the construction
    of those generation resources?
  • Session 3: What can the PUC do to ensure resource adequacy
    for electric distribution customers?
